1st Navigation Officer for river Maine, Danube, and Rhine

Responsibilities:

Practicing GCCL valuesRelieving Captain in his absence and taking command if the Captain is incapacitatedEnsuring safe navigation during his watchMaintaining and upkeeping of the ship according to existing laws and regulationsEnsuring that cleanliness and condition of the sundeck, as well as pollution prevention measures, are being upheldDeploying and supervising nautical crewMaintaining and upkeeping of the safety and firefighting equipmentProviding safety training and familiarizationIssuing ‘Permits to Work” as requiredCooperating with hospitality department as well as company’s regional officesAny other duties advised by Nautical and Technical Superintendent or Captain

Skills/Qualifications:

Holding Rhine license and preferable Danube as well; Sufficient experience in the field of desired position, preferably on the river cruise ship; Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills; Fluency in English and German; Eligibility to work in EU;
