Overnight General Cleaner positions at Charlotte Douglas International Airport-one of the busiest airports in the nation.
This is a
full-time, overnight opportunity ideal for individuals who prefer night shifts, enjoy working independently, and want steady hours, benefits, and long-term employment.

What You'll Be Doing Overnight General Cleaners play a key role in preparing the airport for the next day. Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, terminals, gate areas, and common spaces
- Sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors and surfaces
- Operating industrial cleaning equipment safely
- Collecting and disposing of trash and debris
- Cleaning glass, windows, stainless steel, and high-touch surfaces
- Wearing required PPE and following safety guidelines
- Reporting supply needs, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns promptly
- Following all airport security and compliance procedures

Minimum Requirements Because this is a secure airport facility, applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Pass a fingerprint-based background check
- Maintain an airport security badge
- Have reliable transportation for overnight hours
- Be able to communicate in English or Spanish
- Be physically capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 80 lbs
- Demonstrate strong attendance and reliability
Physical Job Requirements (Transparency) This role is physically active and requires:
- Standing and walking for most of the shift
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
- Handling cleaning tools and equipment
- Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 80 lbs (with equipment and training provided)

- Stand and walk 94% of the time
- Climbing: Ascending or descending using feet, legs, hands, and arms.
- Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
- Stooping: Bending body downward and forward.
- Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.
- Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.
- Handling: Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 80 lbs and carry it 10 or more feet.
