Position: Account Manager (Client Success Manager)

Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred; some client travel as needed)

Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000 base salary + Performance Bonuses + Client Retention Bonuses

Pen Pioneer is a fast-growing, veteran-owned staffing and recruiting firm specializing in permanent placement, contract staffing, subscription recruiting, and executive search across multiple industries: construction, legal, healthcare, manufacturing, IT, and logistics. As we continue to scale nationally, we are looking for an Account Manager to own client relationships and ensure excellent service delivery.

Position Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for managing active client accounts after initial sale and onboarding. This role ensures smooth service delivery, consistent communication, and long-term client satisfaction while identifying opportunities for additional placements and account growth. The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between Pen Pioneer’s recruiting teams and our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, client updates, and performance reviews.
  • Build trusted relationships with HR leaders, hiring managers, and executives.
  • Proactively address client concerns, questions, and service needs.

Job Order Management

  • Gather detailed job requirements and ensure recruiters have accurate job orders.
  • Work closely with recruiting managers to monitor candidate pipelines and timelines.
  • Ensure clients receive consistent candidate submittals and status updates.

Revenue Growth & Account Expansion

  • Identify upsell opportunities for new job orders, additional departments, or expanded hiring needs.
  • Collaborate with sales team on pricing adjustments, contract extensions, and renewals.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and minimize account churn.

Process Management & Communication

  • Ensure clean documentation, reporting, and activity notes in CRM/ATS.
  • Track fill ratios, time-to-fill, and overall account performance metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, recruiting, finance, and leadership to ensure client success.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of client-facing account management experience, preferably in staffing, recruiting, or professional services.
  • Strong understanding of the staffing and recruiting lifecycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple accounts, prioritize competing demands, and problem-solve client issues.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Bullhorn, or similar).
  • Experience collaborating with recruiting and sales teams.
  • Veteran status or experience supporting veteran-owned businesses is a plus.
