Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineer or Senior Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between design and production, ensuring precision and quality in construction methods and CNC programming. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting architectural drawings, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Interpret architectural drawings, including commercial, retail, and construction plans, as well as project specifications and supplemental documentation.
• Collaborate closely with project management and production teams to provide and gather insights on optimal construction methods.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Microvellum software to generate CNC programs.
• Troubleshoot drawing and programming challenges, working with other departments to develop effective solutions.
• Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2010 or higher.
  • Experience interpreting architectural drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with hardwood, veneers, and plastic laminate materials.
  • Working knowledge of BlueBeam software.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.

• Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with Microvellum software (training available for the right candidate).
  • Knowledge of AWI QCP standards.
  • Background in architectural millwork.
  • Understanding of millwork, cabinet, and drywall construction.
