Position Description The Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management (ESPM) at UC Berkeley invites applications for a tenure-track nine-month Assistant Professor position in the area of Forest Health. Forests provide essential services but are under ecological stress from climate change, invasive species, and other stressors. The successful candidate will address interactions among stressors to improve understanding, monitoring, and management of forest health. (or equivalent international degree), or enrollment in a Ph.D., J.D., or equivalent program at the time of application. Preferred Qualifications We seek applicants whose work addresses forest health, including climate impacts on host-pest/pathogen relationships, threats to tree conservation, and monitoring/management innovations. Interdisciplinary and translational research that informs public policy is encouraged.
