Salary: $70-79k/year + 10% bonus
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
The Property Management Company is a fast-paced, dynamic private equity real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, development, and management of industrial real estate with offices in Chicago, New Jersey and Florida. One of the most active acquirers of industrial buildings since 2000 with the purchase of over 288 buildings in 206 separate transactions totaling $6 billion. The firm’s fully integrated platform includes a best-in-class team of investment and development professionals facilitating disciplined transaction execution and asset management for our investors. They own and manage over 15 million square feet and controls over 1,100 acres of land in corporate business parks in the greater Chicago area, New Jersey and Florida markets.
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Property Manager for our Rosemont office. This position will report directly to the Property Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with monthly reporting for third party clients
• Tracking fire life safety, HVAC and mechanical service contracts and inspections
• Monitoring vendor performance to ensure compliance with service agreements
• Conduct property visits as needed
• Coding invoices for review and approval
• Preparing capital improvement approval packages
• Responding to property service requests promptly
• Providing back up support to Property Management Team
• Handling additional property management tasks as assigned
Expectations:
• Operate proactively and independently in a high-volume environment
• Adaptable to competing demand and shifting priorities
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Travel requirements to Chicagoland properties on a as needed basis
Qualifications:
• 2–5-year experience in commercial real estate
• Expertise in all Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Word, Outlook and Excel
• Previous exposure to Yardi is a plus
