The opportunity

The Associate User Experience Researcher supports the user experience team by providing valuable insights from real user feedback. You will focus on helping the product and design teams create user-friendly products based on actual user needs rather than assumptions. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting user experience research, and assisting other researchers on the team. You will contribute to the development of research plans, implementing research tasks, analyzing and synthesizing data, and communicating findings.

This is a remote friendly position (#LI-Remote). You will report to the Assistant Vice President User Experience.

What you'll do:
  • Execute foundational UX research activities: develop well-crafted research plans with clear objectives, write research screeners and guides, moderate user sessions, implement quantitative surveys, conduct stakeholder and client interviews, identify insights by analyzing quantitative and qualitative data from research.
  • Design, build, and execute concept tests, A/B tests, focus groups, tree tests, card sorts, and usability studies.
  • Collaborate remotely with other UX researchers, product managers, and product analysts.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. Translate insights into actionable recommendations, providing a continuous pipeline of data for product teams to improve the customer experience.
  • Manage several research projects simultaneously by coordinating scope, timeline, and stakeholders in detailed project plans and other project documents.
  • Present research findings in a clear and organized fashion.
  • Participate in a mentorship program.
  • Keep abreast of competitor products, industry trends, and customer experience (CX) trends to understand consumer expectations and opportunities for additional research.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential functions of this role.
  • May have other responsibilities as assigned.
What we're looking for:
  • 1 year of experience in UX research, research operations, or related fields such as UI or UX Design.
  • Bachelor's degree in human computer interaction, User Research, UX/UI, cognitive science, psychology, sociology, or other related social science with strong research focus.
  • Experience with and knowledge of multiple UX methodologies such as tree test, card sorts, usability studies, and surveys.
  • Experience conducting ethical research.
  • Experience conducting end-to-end research studies.
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle and/or Agile framework or scrum.
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant academic, personal, or professional projects that highlight research experience in web or mobile platforms.

We believe real innovation comes from inclusion - where different experiences, perspectives and talents are celebrated. So if you're wondering whether SNHU is right for you, take the leap and apply. You might be just the person we're looking for.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $64,283.00 - $102,872.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $71,033.00 - $96,103.00.

Exceptional benefits (because you're exceptional)
  • High-quality, low-deductible medical insurance
  • Low to no-cost dental and vision plans
  • 5 weeks of paid time off (plus almost a dozen paid holidays)
  • Employer-funded retirement
  • Free tuition program
