Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with BMS, building controls, and related systems.
• Must have datacenter construction & design experience
• Strong working knowledge of: o Building controls systems (HVAC, lighting, access, etc.) o Low voltage wiring methods, conduit and cable installation o CAT6 and fiber optic cabling, splicing, and terminations o PLC programming and industrial controls
• Demonstrated project management skills, including scheduling and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to represent the company effectively.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work comfortably on active construction sites.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BMS Subject Matter Expert to join an Engineering and Automation company with projects in the ATL and CLT area. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in building controls, low-voltage systems, and project execution, while also serving as a trusted advisor on BMS design, installation, and integration. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical ability, organizational excellence, and leadership to drive successful project outcomes across diverse environments. This will include overseeing and executing low-voltage wiring, conduit, and cable installations (including CAT6 and fiber optic) while also performing and supervising cable terminations, testing, and certification. You will be required to coordinate with PLC integrators & other vendors on technical queries, RFI’s, change orders, etc. This will involve being an escalation point of contact for technical questions that arise. You will lead and coordinate BMS-related project management tasks, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline compliance. This is 5 days a week at the construction site and compensation ranges from $45-$55/hr
