Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced highly skilled and personable Boat Captain with a 100 Ton license to lead both deep sea fishing charters and dolphin tours. The ideal candidate will have extensive boating experience, a strong understanding of local waters, and a proven track record of excellent customer service. As the face of our charters, the captain must ensure safety, navigation, and a positive experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and navigate the vessel for deep sea fishing and dolphin-watching charters
  • Communicate effectively with crew and guests to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience
  • Monitor weather conditions and make sound decisions regarding trip safety
  • Lead fishing trips, including locating fish, anchoring/drifting, and advising guests on fishing techniques
  • Educate and engage guests during dolphin tours with knowledge of local marine wildlife and environment
  • Ensure vessel maintenance and cleanliness before and after each trip
  • Handle emergency situations professionally and according to safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs as required by the Coast Guard and company policy
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company positively

Qualifications:

  • Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captains License (100-ton necessary)
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Clean driving record and background check
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a charter boat captain preferred
  • Strong knowledge of local waters, fish species, and dolphin activity patterns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor, marine environment
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work long hours, including weekends and holidays
