Job Description

Dinova is a remote-first, private equity backed startup with roots in Atlanta and Texas. We are a one-of-a-kind, $14 billion proprietary marketplace that connects more than 24,000 restaurants and 500 corporations, government agencies, and small to medium sized businesses in the US and Canada. Like other successful marketplaces, such as Airbnb and Doordash, Dinova is quickly capturing market share and providing unparalleled value for businesses and restaurants alike.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team in the business dining industry. The BDR is responsible for contacting prospective restaurant and/or corporate partners in an effort to set appointments for either themselves to then pitch and close, or for another salesperson to pitch and close. In this role, you will be pivotal in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities and driving growth for our innovative dining solutions. Your responsibilities will include prospecting, developing sales strategies, and presenting dining solutions that meet our clients' unique needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for business dining, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales or business development. Join us and be a key player in reshaping the corporate dining experience!

This position is responsible for effective and timely communication to ensure partner expectations are met satisfactorily. Demonstrating a high level of professionalism on every interaction in a fast-paced partner support environment, the BDR works closely with internal departments ensuring best practices throughout the organization are achieved.

About the Team

Dinova’s Success team is dedicated to maximizing restaurants’ revenue potential by connecting business diners to our preferred restaurant network. We are focused on helping our partners get the most out of our products and programs, and we’re looking for strategic-minded, action-oriented, and results-driven partner advocates. You will be part of a team of smart, passionate, and enthusiastic individuals who are intent on ensuring our restaurant partners’ success and our dining clients’ enjoyment.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Utilizing a variety of sources to develop target lists of the most valuable restaurants and companies measured in terms of Estimated Annualized Program Volume (E-APV) and for the most valuable corporate prospects in terms of total spend.
  • Researching and contacting prospects primarily utilizing the phone, email and other forms of electronic communication to identify appropriate contacts/decision makers and elicit interest.
  • Qualifying and driving leads through the sales process and pipeline.
  • Developing a robust pipeline to drive ongoing sales opportunities in support of appointment setting activities for other sales personnel.
  • Collaborating with remote field sales personnel to maximize productivity and to avoid duplication of effort.
  • Responding to requests from prospects and partner restaurants for information.
  • Conducting persuasive online presentations to prospects and convince them to schedule an appointment with a remote salesperson in a preliminary step leading to joining Dinova.
  • Identifying sales obstacles and developing, recommending, and implementing solutions.
  • Maintaining a high level of integrity, commitment and trust to exceed expectations in sales and retention of customer accounts.
  • Updating Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database in real-time.
  • Providing weekly market updates/data report to management.
  • Identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance the overall sales cycle, productivity and cost of sales (COS).

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university desired or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Prior B2B Sales Experience or Appointment Setting Experience.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Persistence - a relentless drive to keep pushing forward, even when faced with challenges or setbacks.
  • Knowledge of and prior experience with prospecting skills including phone, email, and social media.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Previous BDR experience a plus.

Location/Travel Requirements:

  • Remote/home based in the US, must be located in EST, MDT, or CDT timezones
  • Travel up to 10%

What We Offer:

We work hard, and we have a great time — our annual employee surveys highly rate our culture, values and leadership. We offer a casual, fun office environment, work/life balance programs, competitive base pay rates, variable comp pay up to $30,065 over base pay, and an excellent benefits package that includes: a subsidized choice of medical, dental and vision plans; Medical and Dependent Care FSAs; company-paid life insurance; HSA plan; and company-matching 401(k) plan. As much as we enjoy what we do, we all need time off to relax and recharge, so we provide paid vacation starting at three weeks per year, paid time off for company recognized holidays – plus two holidays of your choice – and paid sick leave.

What We Don’t Have:

Bullies, tyrants and jerks – so those who don’t work and play well with others need not apply.
