Business Education Specialist – Brain Health and Recovery (Part-Time)

REPORTS TO: BrainStim Centers Leadership

JOB SCOPE

BrainStim Centers, the premiere Transcranial Magnetic Center of Los Angeles, owned and operated by neurosurgeon Dr. Mark Liker, is seeking energetic, people-oriented professionals to join our business development team across the State.

As a Business Education Specialist, you'll get into the community to educate business professionals about how our services diagnose and treat patients with brain injuries or mental health concerns. You'll also conduct EEG studies on patients. We'll train you in everything you need to know - from our services to hands-on EEG procedures. When business clients show interest, you'll connect them to our Business Development Department for next steps.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Education & Awareness

• Identify and research professional service organizations in assigned territory
• Conduct educational visits to introduce BrainStim's services
• Present how our services support patient recovery
• Deliver marketing materials and answer questions
• Identify interested organizations and connect them to the Business Development Department
• Track visits, responses, and maintain contact records

Clinical & Technical Support

• Conduct EEG studies on patients (comprehensive training provided)
• Set up and perform quantitative encephalogram (qEEG) testing
• Ensure accuracy of recordings and equipment function
• Work remotely but collaboratively with clinical team and physicians
• Adhere to HIPAA and clinic protocols for patient privacy and safety

• Comfortable with cold outreach - confident initiating contact and walking into new offices unannounced
• Motivated and persistent - thrives on the challenge of building relationships from scratch, undeterred by initial resistance or rejection
• Comfortable presenting - confident speaking to business professionals and their teams
• Organized and reliable - manages own schedule and follows through on commitments
• Adaptable learner - willing to learn medical concepts to support outreach efforts
• Collaborative team player - works well with clinical staff and management
• Tech-comfortable - can learn to use CRM systems and scheduling tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle - extensive territory travel required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Outgoing personality and comfort meeting new people
• Demonstrated initiative and follow-through
• Professional demeanor and communication skills
• Background in sales, marketing, hospitality, or business development
• Ability to absorb and articulate scientific concepts

Preferred (but not required):

• Spanish or Russian language skills
• Experience presenting to groups or conducting business visits
• Comfort in fast-paced, dynamic environments

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Part-time hourly position (15-25 hours/week)
• Hourly rate: $22-$28 depending on experience
• Mileage reimbursement for territory travel
• Comprehensive paid training program in Los Angeles area (January 2026)
