Job Description
We are currently hiring for a Canvasser position on our Public Relations team! This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy engaging with people and making meaningful connections. Unlike traditional sales positions, we’re not selling knives or vacuum cleaners. Instead, our focus is on collecting surveys from members of the public to support important research and outreach efforts.
Responsibilities:
Conduct door-to-door surveys throughout Southeast Edmonton. Including Charlesworth, Mattson, and Walker, including engaging with residents to gather opinions on various political issues.
Communicate professionally and effectively to ensure accurate data collection.
Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while interacting with the public.
Accurately record responses using designated technology and survey apps.
Work independently or in pairs, ensuring efficiency and professionalism throughout each shift.
Requirements:
Comfortable walking for entire shifts in various weather conditions.
Proficiency with technology and mobile apps for data entry.
Ownership of a modern smartphone with a reliable data plan (required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse individuals.
Interest or knowledge in current events and political issues (an asset).
Newly hired canvassers will be partnered with more experienced team members. All canvassers must adhere to standards of appropriate attire and hygiene.
