Our Psychiatry department is a vibrant community of healthcare providers, offering a safe, patient-centered approach to psychiatric care through innovative therapies and a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

About the Psychiatry Department

Our Psychiatry department features:

• Three inpatient psychiatric units
• An Outpatient ECT service
• A total of 46 inpatient beds across Intensive, Medicine, and Geriatric Psych units

Whether you’re passionate about working with acutely ill patients or have a special affinity for the elderly, our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care for a wide range of psychiatric illnesses, all while prioritizing safety for both patients and staff.

Your Role: Making a Difference

Role Purpose: As a vital member of our team, you will provide direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, all within the standards of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on managing their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Engage in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patients.
• Utilize critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely, as this is a safety-sensitive position.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience: No prior experience required
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience: Less than 2 years in a relevant role
