Job Summary:

The Copywriter collaborates with the team to create concise, emotionally engaging product copy, email, and blog pieces. Help improve the business by contributing and implementing ideas to enhance the worksite and processes. Contribute to a positive culture of continuous improvement by learning and applying lean principles, always exhibiting honesty, and respecting other people at all times.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Create concise, exciting product copy that connects customers with emotional drivers for various performance products, and optimize it for conversion using testing regimes.
• Write compelling and persuasive email copy that resonates with our target audience, and deploy it scientifically using campaigns and automated flows.
• Ideate and create blog content that serves SEO keywords yet is helpful and authentic to enthusiasts.
• Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team, including campaign, content, brand, and product marketing.
• Ensure brand consistency across all email communications, including messaging, tone, and visual elements.
• Analyze relevant performance metrics and optimize across all channels for engagement and conversion.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Customer Service, Engineering, and Software to gather insights and data for campaign optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Service, to coordinate email campaigns and ensure alignment with overall marketing initiatives.
• Provide regular reports and insights on email performance, including recommendations for optimization and improvement.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in email marketing to continuously improve our strategies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in email marketing, with agency or startup experience highly desirable
• Proficiency in Klaviyo or similar email marketing platforms
• Strong copywriting skills and ability to tailor messaging to different audience segments
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Netsuite, and Shopify
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work
