Overview Lemonaid Health is partnering with 23andMe to present an inclusive employment opportunity. 23andMe is seeking an exceptional Corporate Counsel to join its legal team in Sunnyvale, CA. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will support and advise on a broad range of corporate, governance, securities law, commercial, strategic transactions, and related matters. This role collaborates with Finance, Corporate Development, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other teams across the company. What You’ll Do General corporate and transactional work supporting the business initiatives of the company Support compliance with federal securities laws, NASDAQ rules and regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and other corporate governance rules Support corporate development activities, including strategic collaborations and mergers & acquisitions Advise on equity matters, including equity plan and compensation issues Support board of directors governance, planning, and activities Maintain subsidiaries, corporate books, and records Support maintaining and strengthening the company's disclosure controls and procedures and internal control over financial reporting Partner across the legal team and the company on special projects; create and maintain templates, playbooks, and policies Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to stakeholders across the company Effectively manage outside counsel as needed What You’ll Bring JD with excellent academic credentials and a member of a U.S. state bar, preferably the State Bar of California Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a national law firm or in-house Strong corporate generalist skillset with expertise in securities law, governance, equity compensation, and M&A Experience in biotechnology or healthcare preferred Exceptional attention to detail; self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively Excellent organizational and planning skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously Strong presentation and influencing abilities Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize disparate information into strategic recommendations Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a diverse, cross-functional team Excellent verbal and written communication; concise and clear advisory style Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced, evolving environment Ability to work 3 days onsite (Tuesday-Thursday) in Sunnyvale, CA Pay Transparency 23andMe takes a market-based approach to pay. Salary ranges vary by location. The San Francisco Bay Area base pay range is USD $154,000 to $230,000. Starting pay will reflect job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
