*Job Overview:*
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our team and assist our licensed occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. The OTA will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide support to individuals of all ages with physical, mental, or developmental challenges.
*Responsibilities:*
* Assist the occupational therapist in assessing patients' functional abilities and limitations.
* Implement treatment plans designed by the occupational therapist to address patients' individual goals and needs.
* Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence.
* Provide feedback to the occupational therapist regarding patients' progress and response to treatment.
* Assist with the maintenance and organization of therapy equipment and supplies.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
*Qualifications:*
* Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
* Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of Washington.
* CPR certification preferred.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Ability to adapt to the changing needs of patients and clinical environments.
