Database Architect Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: CACI is looking for a range of entry to SME-level database architects to join our dynamic team supporting Cyber Security Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a component of Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast-paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. The candidate should speak well in front of an audience and be able to present briefs to high-ranking government personnel and be able to provide whiteboard sessions and presentations to personnel in a clear, concise but comprehensive manner. Locations:

Arlington, VA; Washington, D.C.; Pensacola, FL; Stennis, MS; Idaho Falls, ID What You’ll Get to Do: Designs and builds relational databases and performs data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design and implementation. Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database. Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions. Develops data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems. Reviews and develops object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access. You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI. Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - Cyber Security Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred. Has SAFe 5.1 SAFe Architect (ARCH) certification. Education/Experience: Entry: BS/BA degree or equivalent and 0-3 years of experience in Database Architecture. An associate degree plus 4 yrs work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Journeyman: BS/BA degree or equivalent and 3-10 years of experience in Database Architecture. A Journeyman labor category typically performs all functional duties independently. Six years’ work experience or an Associate degree plus 4 yrs work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Senior: BS/BA degree or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in Database Architecture and a master’s degree. Twelve years’ work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree plus 8 yrs work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree. SME: BS/BA degree or equivalent and 15+ years of experience in Database Architecture and a master’s degree in addition to certifications in the applicable subject matter area. Twelve years’ work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree plus 20 yrs work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree. Proficient in database technologies, securing databases, and applying best practices. Strong understanding of server-client computing and relational databases. Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server for applications preferred. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional planning skills and ability to work within change management parameters. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills. Able to communicate clearly and professionally with senior customers to field and troubleshooting questions and issue. Familiarity with Agile software development methodology, processes, and techniques. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Service Now. JIRA. Relevant Microsoft. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. The proposed salary range for this position is: $57,500-$117,900. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
