Are you passionate about patient care and making a difference in your community? Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join our administrative team and help manage the financial side of patient care.

Position Summary:

Review and submit dental encounters to insurance companies for payment. Work directly with the providers, insurance companies, and/or the patients to have claims processed and paid in a timely manner. Answer billing questions and inquiries from patients and/or providers. This position requires great attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and possess excellent customer service skills. This role is crucial in ensuring that the dental department receives timely and accurate reimbursement for services provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit dental claims to insurance companies electronically and manually

  • Review and verify accuracy of claim forms and patient information

  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims; resubmit corrected claims as needed

  • Post insurance payments and adjustments to patient accounts

  • Work with patients to resolve billing inquiries and set up payment plans

  • Maintain knowledge of current dental codes, insurance policies, and regulations

  • Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to ensure accurate billing information

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum [1–3] years of experience in dental billing, insurance claims, or medical office billing
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, ADA codes, and insurance policies
  • Proficiency with dental billing software (e.g. Dentrix) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
