Job Title: Director, Ecommerce Technology

ROLE SUMMARY:

A tremendous opportunity to shape and drive the digital presence of a rapidly growing company. As the eCommerce Senior Director, you will build and lead teams to deliver all technical aspects of Trulieves B2C e-commerce sites, marketing websites, mobile solutions, and integration platforms. You will play a key role in defining the digital strategy, collaborating with Executive leaders from Marketing, Sales, and other business teams. Your work will support over $1B in e-commerce sales, driving technology platform decisions and leading internal and vendor teams to successful implementations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead eCommerce Development, Application, Cloud Infrastructure, and DevOps support teams.
  • Oversee all aspects of B2C e-commerce sites, including large projects, enhancements, and level 2/3 production support.
  • Develop the e-commerce roadmap in collaboration with Digital Delivery, Sr Director, and key business stakeholders.
  • Build and structure the organization to deliver world-class digital solutions.
  • Resolve issues related to technology and applications within the e-commerce domain.
  • Engage in detailed design, solution review, and occasional production troubleshooting.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to foster partnerships and synergies between Sales, Marketing, and IT.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business to align e-commerce functionality with business strategy.
  • Stay updated on new technology advancements and lead the organization in adopting evolving technologies.
  • Research, evaluate, and onboard strategic vendors for digital solutions.
  • Provide leadership in scoping, estimating, and managing digital projects.
  • Offer technical guidance and leadership in resolving production issues, ensuring root causes are identified and rectified.
  • Provide technical guidance on optimization of DevOps and related capabilities (e.g., automated testing, CI/CD), in addition to optimization of deployments that minimize disruption to the business (blue/green, or feature flag based deployments).
  • Ultimate responsibility for resolving issues with technology/applications in this domain.
  • Requires engagement in detailed design, solution review, and production troubleshooting of solutions on occasion.
  • Develop thorough understanding of the business to apply business knowledge/strategy to our e-commerce functionality/strategy.
  • Be on top of new technology advancements and act as the organizations foremost leader on evolving technologies.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Leadership and management experience with strong interpersonal skills, capable of leading and directing teams and individuals.
  • Provide Agile delivery guidance for software and technical components of Trulieves application platforms.
  • Developer-level application support and operational oversight.
  • Solution design focused on Composable, M.A.C.H., and Well Architected Framework for maximum reuse across functions/regions.
  • Independent judgment with strong analytical skills for decision-making.
  • High degree of inquisitiveness and eagerness to learn.
  • Self-motivated with a strong business sense to meet product requirements and articulate them in an architecture model.
  • Knowledgeable about applications, technological advances, and application environment elements.
  • Service-oriented, tactful in user interactions, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and multi-task.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience leading eCommerce multi-domain solutions.
  • Minimum of 10 years managing or leading large-scale enterprise technology teams.
  • Strategic vision for digital solutions and opportunities.
  • Experience in applications and systems architecture, including service-based and Ecommerce application architecture.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, microservices, APIs, and publish/subscribe models.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with business leaders.
  • Ability to lead technical architecture design and planning sessions.
  • Significant experience in Agile environments, adaptable to Trulieve's needs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Customer service focus with a proactive personality to drive results.
  • Bachelors degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Amazon Cloud, Security, Architecture).
