Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator – Commercial Construction

Location: Hampstead, MD (Onsite)

Duration: Fulltime

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our growing commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience estimating large-scale electrical projects, particularly in schools and hospitals, with strong knowledge of NEC standards. This role requires precision, communication, and the ability to deliver accurate cost projections that ensure profitability and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for large commercial electrical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Develop cost breakdowns, labor hour projections, and material take-offs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure bid accuracy and competitiveness.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals; negotiate to obtain best pricing.
• Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and presenting estimates when needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NEC codes, industry standards, and local regulations.
• Ensure estimates align with company financial goals, profitability targets, and market competitiveness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical estimating for large commercial construction.
• Proven track record with school and hospital electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and industry codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid experience a plus).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Based in or able to commute to Hampstead, MD office.
