A bit about us:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team. This is a permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects. As an Electrical Superintendent, you will supervise, coordinate, inspect, and perform the construction activities throughout the project's development. You will be responsible for ensuring that the work is performed in accordance with project requirements, codes, specifications, and timelines.

This is an exciting position that offers a high level of responsibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical construction, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering quality work on time and within budget

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee, manage, and coordinate all phases of the construction project including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
2. Supervise and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in the electrical aspects of the project.
3. Implement and enforce safety and health regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
4. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
5. Document project progress, including implementation of construction quality control programs.
6. Coordinate with project management, project engineers, and work crews to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
7. Resolve work problems, negotiate contracts, and manage personnel issues.
8. Develop and implement quality control programs.
9. Attend and lead project meetings, including project team, owner and subcontractors meetings.
10. Review and approve project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, financial reports.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in electrical construction or a related field.
2. Proven leadership skills with a strong ability to manage teams.
3. Extensive knowledge of electrical construction procedures, equipment, OSHA safety requirements, and building codes.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
5. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction crews.
7. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
9. Strong background leading commercial and industrial electrical projects
10. Certification as a licensed electrician or electrical contractor is a plus.
