Job Description
Synerfac is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for our client in Virginia Beach, VA. Our client provides on site power integration for large scale centers.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, schedule, assign, supervise and participate in the installation of the electrical systems for all projects.
* Application and knowledge of master electrician level skills in the installation of electrical systems and associated activities which may include the application of some mechanical knowledge.
* Assign work to the team determining work methods and priorities.
* Supervise and evaluate personnel fairly and adequately for performance, attendance, and overall professionalism.
* Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to assigned employees on the safe operation of equipment and tools and proper work techniques and skills necessary to complete work assignments.
* Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the electrical department.
* Enforce safety and work performance standards and regulations.
* Prepare and maintain reports and records related to work activities, to include unit QA inspection forms.
* Perform related work as assigned or specified in project drawings, customer specification or project requirement.
* Order material according to project specification.
* Assist in the development of Quality Control and Assurance pertaining to electrical systems through various means.
* Provide customer service such as answering technical questions and reviewing customer electrical complaints.
* Inspect materials and report all defects.
* Properly inspect each unit before shipping using QA inspection forms.
* Provide employee reviews, verbal counseling and written employee warnings as required.
* Train Assistant Supervisor to properly handle all above tasks so they have the ability to step into the Supervisor position immediately when necessary.
Job Requirements
* 7+ years of electrical experience
* 2+ years of Supervisory experience
* Holds a Journeyman License (HIGHLY PREFRED)
* Considerable knowledge of the approved methods, material, tools and equipment utilized in electrical installation and maintenance work.
* Considerable knowledge of the principles of electrical theory as applied to electrical circuits and distribution systems.
* Considerable knowledge of City, State and National electrical codes.
* Knowledge of the use of power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, knock punches and any tools associated with the electrical industry.
* Ability to Operate two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools and any other tools associated with the electrical industry
* Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams.
* Ability to estimate manpower, time and material requirements for work assignments.
* Ability to and knowledge pertaining to operating and working from mechanical personnel lifts electric or gas powered.
* Ability to bend Conduits using hand benders, mechanical benders or hydraulic benders
* Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
