Description Essential Job Functions: - Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and electrical code
- Assists Journeyman with installation tasks
- Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications: - Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Two (2) year diploma or degree in electrical technology, preferred
- Alaska Locations Only: Must be enrolled in Delta Constructors approved apprenticeship program.
- North Dakota Locations Only: Must be enrolled in state approved apprenticeship program or have ability to enroll upon hire.
- Work Experience:
- One (1) year electrical experience in oilfield preferred
- License/Certifications:
- Current and valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10 Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
- H2S Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
- Alaska Locations Only:
- NSTC required
- Member of ABC Alaska Electrical Apprentice Program
- Post Job Offer Requirements:
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test
- Alaska North Slope locations only: Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: - Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
- Basic knowledge and experience use of power tools, electrical equipment and construction equipment.
- Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies Ability to work safely and recognize potential hazards
- Ability to prioritize work or assignments in order to complete projects on time
- Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written
- Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to receive and follow direction
