Overview A single-manager hedge fund with approximately $400 million in assets under management is seeking a Generalist Equity Analyst to join its investment team in Miami . The fund focuses on deep, fundamental research to uncover undervalued growth companies with strong fundamentals, compelling valuations, and clear catalysts. Role Overview The analyst will be responsible for full-cycle coverage of approximately 40 public equities , contributing to both long and short positions. This includes deep-dive research, financial modeling, and regular idea generation. The role offers direct exposure to portfolio decision-making and the opportunity to work in a high-conviction, entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities Conduct deep-dive research on approximately 40 public equities, covering both long and short positions Build and maintain financial models and valuations to support investment ideas Generate differentiated, actionable investment ideas and present them to the team Communicate findings clearly through written reports and presentations Collaborate with senior team members on idea generation and portfolio construction Qualifications 6+ years of buyside experience in long/short equity Strong financial modeling and valuation skills Proven ability to generate differentiated, actionable investment ideas Comfortable covering a wide range of sectors and business models Excellent communication and presentation skills Hedge fund experience preferred Why This Role?
