Family Law Attorney – Ashburn, VA

Salary: commensurate with experience

We are seeking a driven and experienced Family Law Attorney to join a reputable and growing law firm in Northern Virginia. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about advocacy, thrives in the courtroom, and wants to take ownership of their caseload with the backing of a strong support team.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of divorce, custody, visitation, support, and equitable distribution matters from start to finish.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, settlement agreements, and trial materials.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients navigating emotionally charged family law issues.
• Collaborate with firm leadership and legal support staff to ensure timely and effective case handling.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Bar License in good standing.
• 2–7 years of experience in family law required (trial experience strongly preferred).
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
