Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Field Technician / Mechanic II/III in Butler Georgia, Georgia SMA reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Responsibilities:
    \n
  • Perform repairs on heavy trucks, heavy equipment and asphalt equipment.
  • \n
  • Trouble shoot and diagnose a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating and cooling, and electrical systems.
  • \n
  • Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
  • \n
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance on heavy construction equipment and dump trucks.
  • \n
  • Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
  • \n
  • Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed.
  • \n
  • Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.
  • \n
  • Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
  • \n
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment.
  • \n
  • Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
  • \n

Qualifications:
    \n
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and able to perform all duties under DOT regulations & company safety policies and practices.
  • \n
  • Minimum of three years of experience working on construction equipment and on-road trucks.
  • \n
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
  • \n
  • Experience performing DOT Annual Inspections preferred
  • \n
  • Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist and lift 70lbs.
  • \n
  • Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet
  • \n
  • Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • \n
  • Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
  • \n
