Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious student to join our R &D team for summer 2026! As the Sensory Science Intern, you will support progression of a research project related to texture perception across a wide variety of products. In this role, you would work with the Global Sensory team, who is focused on delivering solutions that can help our key accounts and regional customers differentiate their products through taste, texture, delivery systems and sweeteners.

** What you will do: **

• ** Collaborate with and function as a part of the Global Sensory Science Group (GSSG) to support appropriate testing including all the phases of a project (design, coordination, execution, analysis, and reporting)**

• ** Assist with the design and implementation of various types of descriptive analysis and consumer research **

• ** Support Sensory Analysts & Technicians in a day-to-day manner **

• ** Responsible of independent project execution **

• ** Literature review and application of learnings **

• ** Work with manager to progress projects **

** What you will bring: **

• University-level coursework in food science and/or experimental psychology, data analysis
• Experience with executing human subjects testing
• Ability to taste all types of food, beverage, and snack

• Strong quantitative reasoning skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and others

** To be eligible for consideration, candidates must: **

• Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
• Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.

Pay Range: $22-34/hour
