LOCATION

This position will be fully remote.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE 

• This is an hourly contractor position, with the hours of availability 9am–4pm ET Monday through Friday. 
• One can expect about 10 hours a week to start. 
• There is a mandatory team huddle through Slack Monday through Friday at 10am ET and afternoon check-in at 3pm ET. We do collaborate often so ET is highly preferable.

COMPENSATION 

• $40–55 an hour, based on experience.

REQUIRED TACTICAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Design Proficiency

• Well-versed in Adobe Creative Cloud
• Can confidently design a variety of digital pieces, including: email, web ads, social media, ebooks, lead generation pieces, and presentations
• Can confidently design websites within Adobe XD and export assets for WordPress build 
• Comfortable retouching and sizing photography for websites

WordPress Proficiency

• Experience in installing, setting up, building, and managing WordPress, specifically the Avada theme
• Skilled in theme customization and plugin integration
• Can build out WordPress pages according to static designs and supplied content 
• Familiarity with WordPress' content management capabilities
• Assist with web maintenance site reviews and updates (i.e. content, images, new posts, pop-ups) as needed

Web Development Fundamentals

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS for structuring and styling web content
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript for interactive elements
• Assumed familiarity with PHP

Domain Management

• Knowledge of domain registration, DNS management, and configuring domain settings
• Understanding how to point a domain to a web hosting service and set up subdomains or redirects as needed

• Excellent attention to detail
• Thinks like a problem-solver, not an order-taker
• Desire and ability to work and communicate in a highly collaborative, inclusive team environment
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks or projects efficiently and can help set realistic expectations for larger timelines
• The ability to troubleshoot common issues independently is crucial. This involves diagnosing problems, researching solutions, and applying fixes effectively
• Ability to articulate ideas and technical concepts clearly and in layman’s terms
• Candidate should have enough bandwidth to provide 1–2 day turnaround
