Falcon’s is currently hiring game developers (mid-level) to design, develop, and implement interactive and engaging digital experiences. Your role will involve collaborating with creative teams, artists, and engineers to bring to life innovative and memorable games that enhance the overall guest experiences that seamlessly blend with the overall theme of an entertainment venue.

Essential Functions:

  • Conceptualization and Design:
    • Work closely with creative directors and designers to conceptualize game ideas that align with the theme of the entertainment venue.
    • Translate conceptual ideas into detailed design documents, outlining gameplay mechanics, interactive elements, and user experiences.
    • Write game design documents and iterate as required throughout production.
    • Identify opportunities for unique player interactions.
    • Use wireframes and other tools to clearly define the user experience.
    • Create UI mockups.
  • Development:
    • Develop player and guest objectives and game mechanics.
    • Utilize your expertise in game development tools and programming languages to bring concepts to life.
    • Develop and implement interactive experiences and games that seamlessly integrate with the themed environment, considering factors like space constraints and overall atmosphere.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, animators, and sound designers, to ensure a cohesive and immersive experience.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide input on how digital experiences can complement and enhance the overall theme
  • Testing and Iteration:
    • Conduct thorough testing of developed games to identify and address bugs or issues.
    • Iterate on designs based on user feedback and playtesting results to continually enhance the guest experience.
  • Integration with Physical Elements:
    • Work closely with hardware and integration teams to ensure seamless integration of digital games with physical elements within the themed environment.
  • Stay Updated on Technology Trends :
    • Keep abreast of the latest trends in gaming technology, AR/VR, and interactive experiences to continually push the boundaries of what is possible within themed entertainment.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field, or comparable experience in a professional setting.
  • 3+ years of professional game development experience, with at least 2 years focused on Unreal Engine 5.
  • Proven track record of developing and shipping high-quality games and/or mixed reality projects.
  • Deep understanding of, and proficiency in Blueprints and C++.
  • Strong understanding of interactive design principles and user experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance analysis skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a creative and dynamic team environment.
  • Familiarity with game development software including Perforce, Visual Studio, and content creation tools.
  • Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
  • Will not require Falcon’s Beyond Global, LLC to commence (“sponsor”) an immigration case in order to be employed (now or in the future).

Additional Considerations Based on Experience:

  • Familiarity with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
  • Experience with motion tracking and gesture recognition.
  • Knowledge of theme park or themed entertainment industry trends.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience with in C# and Unity
