This role is Remote or Westlake, CA but would include regular quarterly catch team meetings at one of our hubs in New York City , Westlake ⛰️, Dallas ⭐, so be ready to travel. You’ll be working on re‑inventing insurance in exciting markets across multiple territories including the UK , US , and the Netherlands , with plans to expand into new European countries. Supported by (and reporting to) the Insurance Director, you'll be joining a friendly US team of 100 who believe in delivering highly innovative, data‑led, sustainable insurance products by challenging everything they know about insurance. What you'll do As a Head of Insurance Sales and Operations, you will own our US Insurance Operations and Sales including sales strategy, operational efficiency, P&L management, and team leadership, playing a critical role in shaping the future of our US business. You’ll be working on: Driving Comprehensive Business Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for US operations and sales, translating company‑wide goals into measurable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Owning the Full P&L: Own the full P&L for the US insurance business, using data‑driven analysis for forecasting, managing budgets, and controlling costs to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Cultivating Sales Excellence: Guide a high‑performing sales team by setting ambitious targets and developing data‑driven sales strategies. You will implement performance metrics and track progress against Key Results to drive revenue growth. Spearheading Operational Improvement: Oversee all operational aspects of the business, using data analytics to identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the customer experience. Building and Developing Talent: Recruit, train, support and develop a talented team of insurance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Ensuring Cohesive Strategy Outcomes: Collaborate with other departments, including Marketing, Product, Pricing, Underwriting and Finance, to ensure cohesive outcomes by aligning departmental efforts. Case Study: A brief take‑home task followed by a 45‑60 minute in‑person interview with the Head of Pricing, Director of Insurance, and Head of Customer Ops to review the case study and assess team fit. Final Interview: 60‑ minute with our CEO and People Director to gauge team and values fit, and an opportunity for you to ask questions. What we offer Our budget for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 and we will take into account any previous experience and location of work when agreeing on the final offer.
