Express has an exciting opportunity with a local company we are looking for a front end loader and heavy equipment operator.
Position Summary Operate heavy equipment utilized in blending soils to meet pre-determined quality within appropriate specifications. Perform other tasks as needed with or without equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Distinguishing Characteristics Report to the soils department supervisor; Work as part of the soils and the overall company team, by being flexible and having a willing attitude. This is a small team so personality fit is important.
Typical Work - As a heavy equipment/ soils operator you will build piles and mix products according to customer specification or a blending sheet as assigned.
- Soil Blending will be accomplished by safe operation of loaders, skid steers, excavators, or by utilizing other types of production equipment.
- Ensure a consistent quality and ascetic in products (turn soil pile 5 times)
- Label and communicate types of products and placement in mixing area to leadership and team mates.
- Work at a pace as to ensure timely and accurate production is achieved, while having materials produced on time and ready for further production or delivery to customer according to need.
- Monitor and communicate levels of bulk products to supervisor and team of both raw materials and wholesale soil bunkers.
- Monitor products for contaminants and deal with using appropriate measures needed to maintain quality products.
- Perform pile and bunker tarping as needed. Very physical, must be able to lift 50lbs, daily regular use of shovels, brooms and rakes.
- Obtain samples for customers testing (PH, etc) when asked
- Do other tasks and projects as assigned
- Help out in other departments where needed
Schedule Hours: 2:30pm to 11:00pm
