As an HVAC Team Leader , you’ll play a critical role in driving the success of our residential HVAC department through effective leadership, process improvement, team development, and operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager, the leadership team, internal departments, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while identifying strategic opportunities for growth. This role is for someone who is passionate about leading a high-performing team, understands the interdependencies within an HVAC department, and is committed to helping others succeed. Maintaining a professional appearance, understanding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and upholding Streamline's Core Values and Guiding Principles are essential aspects of this leadership role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the residential HVAC department including service, sales, installation, and maintenance.
  • Coach and mentor HVAC team to include sales team, and technicians through 1:1s and team leadership.
  • Analyze performance metrics and drive process improvements to increase department productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development and achieve company growth targets.
  • Monitor P&L, identify opportunities to reduce costs, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Maintain open communication with dispatch, vendors, and leadership teams and all other internal and external parties.
  • Uphold safety protocols and ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
  • Support recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives to build a strong, dependable team.
  • Model and reinforce Streamline’s Core Values and NexStar Service System.
  • Participate in the Strategic Management Group and contribute to long-term planning and company vision.
  • Ensure the department is consistently hitting KPIs and company goals.
Requirements:

  • NC HVAC License preferred
  • 3+ years of HVAC Operations, Service, or Sales and or General Management experience in the residential / commercial sector.
  • Proven experience improving operational outcomes and leading successful teams.
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, processes, and the home service industry.
  • Proficient in analyzing and acting on performance metrics and business data.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar CRM/field service software.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining focus on long-term goals.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to navigate job sites, warehouses, or homes as needed.
  • Able to work on a computer and attend meetings for extended periods.
