Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst (Manual Testing) Hybrid Position
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 1 Year (with potential for extension)

Position Overview:
The department is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) in Lansing. This role focuses on manual testing of software applications to ensure they meet business requirements and are free of defects. The position requires a hybrid work schedule, with mandatory onsite presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand project requirements and develop test cases.
Execute manual test cases, document results, and track defects.
Participate in Agile and Waterfall project teams, attending sprint planning and review meetings.
Prepare and maintain test data, ensuring the QA environment is ready for testing.
Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and training to end-users.
Manage defect lifecycle, including identification, tracking, and resolution.
Ensure adherence to DTMB's quality assurance processes and standards.
Required Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of manual testing experience.
Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
Certification in Quality Assurance testing or 24 semester hours in IT coursework.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze and identify defects in software applications.
Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Additional Information:
Hybrid Work Schedule: Onsite in Lansing, MI, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; remote work on other days.
