**Seeking an Industrial Electrician in the Waterloo Area!!** **Job Description** The industrial electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in an industrial setting. The role requires diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, including faulty wiring, motors, sensors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This position involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery, reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, and ensuring all work complies with local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures. + Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including faulty wiring, motors, sensors, and PLCs. + Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery. + Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. + Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. + Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve system performance and reduce downtime. + Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections. + Recommend and implement improvements for energy efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction. **Essential Skills** + Electrical Industrial Maintenance + Troubleshooting + Preventative maintenance + Mechanical and electrical maintenance + Experience with up to 480 voltage wiring + Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics + Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors + Experience with 3 phase electrical troubleshooting + PLC troubleshooting + Proficient in VFDs, motor starters, control panels, and industrial sensors + 3+ years of industrial electrical experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Journeyman's license or relevant certificate preferred + Experience with solar and low voltage electrical maintenance **Why Work Here?** Employees enjoy quarterly performance bonuses and accrue 112 PTO hours within the first year. All candidates will train on the first shift for 30-60 days. The work environment involves coping with Iowa climates, enduring heat and cold conditions, fast-paced workloads, and common loud noise levels. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Waterloo, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
