BASIC FUNCTION ( the primary purpose of this position ):

Acts as property subject matter expert for assigned applications and performs as IT liaison to associated business teams.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promotes a safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; reports and directs safety issues to Safety Committee
  • Administers, maintains, and documents assigned enterprise applications and related interfaces.
  • Performs administration of database systems including installation, upgrades, configuration, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, backup, recovery, and maintenance.
  • Regularly meets with business teams associated with assigned applications to understand vision, needs, pain points, and workflow.
  • Analyzes input from business teams and champions their operating needs to the IT department and vendors.
  • Provides actionable plans to associated business teams to best utilize assigned systems capabilities.
  • Develops and provides training on assigned systems to associated business teams.
  • Monitors and tunes assigned systems to best meet needs of associated business teams while ensuring operating performance and data integrity.
  • Maintains compliance of assigned systems with applicable regulatory frameworks and security best practices.
  • Participates in evaluation, selection, and implementation of systems as a project manager or project team member.
  • Assists the IT Help Desk in frontline preventive and corrective maintenance of enterprise applications, desktop systems, and peripheral components.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS ( objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience ):

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience required.
  • Three (3) years' experience administering applications in a casino environment required.
  • Prior experience and demonstrable skills in Microsoft SQL, SSRS, and Crystal Reports required.
  • Experience in specific applications as used by The Mill desirable.
  • Maintains a strict level of confidentiality regarding company information.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Must have excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Must be a detail oriented, organized individual with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner.
  • Must be a Team Player.
  • Display strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle conflict situations.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.
  • Strong organizational skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT ( the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands and take after hours calls at home in support of Casino systems. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manages anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
