Job Description
Salary:
NASC is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to work out of the Lexington Park, MD office.
At the direction of more senior engineers, applies fundamental engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test and/or evaluate technology components, subsystems and systems. With assistance, helps to prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Assignments may involve test and evaluation of hardware and/or software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapon system, associated support system, or management information systems.
Utilize on the job and formal technical training to improve engineering skill set to enable independent execution of job functions.
Education: Required - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience: Preferred - 2 years performing the foregoing functions under the direction and guidance of more senior engineers.
Candidate should have a basic knowledge of SolidWorks, Matlab, Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, and 3D printing is desired.
