We are searching for a Junior Technical Writer who can take technical specifications and data and write a wide variety of impactful, target-relevant, engaging copy. The ideal candidate will be able to transform technical data, statistics, and spreadsheets into our copywriting voice, style and standards. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a stimulating and collaborative environment, as part of both the Product Development and Marketing teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support a range of marketing communications outputs, working with Marketing, Graphics, Product Management, Sales and other teams, to ensure standards are met and the Scosche brand and products are effectively and accurately represented.
• Collaborate with the Senior Copywriter, Director of Marketing, Creative Director, Product Managers, Sales Managers and other project stakeholders to create, organize and/or edit copy for advertising, collateral materials, trade show materials, packaging, multimedia, digital/online and more.
• Develop and maintain Scosche copywriting voice, style and standards.
• Manage workflows of copywriting projects in conjunction with other stakeholders ensuring that processes and procedures are efficient and effective.
• Schedule copywriting projects/tasks to ensure that they are done on-time.
• Coordinate consistency across all types of communications to promote the right Scosche messages for purposes of branding and positioning.
• Study the competitive landscape to develop copy that is differentiated in the market and brand-appropriate. Locate and share best-in-class examples of engaging, inspirational and bar-raising copy.
• Develop, and stay current with, Scosche product knowledge, as well as maintaining a working knowledge of the industry in general.
• Utilize internal and external data and analytics to better understand our various target audiences which includes consumers and a variety of business entities.

• Bachelor’s degree (or comparable combination of education and experience) in English, Marketing, Business, Communications or related fields.
• Knowledgeable with technology as it pertains to consumer tech such as: cell phones, phone chargers, and other accessories. Experience with auto accessories is a plus.
• At least 2 years, or preferably more, experience with writing consumer-facing, as well as business-to-business copy.
• Previous experience working in the Consumer Tech/ Electronics industry is a plus.
• Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, structure and proofing skills.
• Excellent time and project management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly in verbal and written form.
• Strong portfolio of writing samples that include both marketing and technical copy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Understanding and experience using AI copy
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• This position is full-time - 40 hours per week.

$24 - $26.50 per hour
