Join Meliora Academy, a private, special education day school serving students ages 3-22 with autism spectrum and related disorders. Utilizing evidence-based interventions, including applied behavior analysis, we provide individualized instruction and one-on-one support to help students reach their maximum potential. Our team of BCBAs, special education teachers, and related service providers work collaboratively with families and school districts to create a supportive, inclusive environment.

Your Role as a Special Education Teacher - IEP Development & Management - Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with special needs, ensuring their academic and developmental success.
- Student Progress Monitoring - Track and assess student growth, making data-driven adjustments to keep them on a successful learning path.
- Behavioral Support - Manage challenging behaviors by implementing effective behavior support plans that foster positive student outcomes.
- Collaborative Teamwork - Work closely with RBTs, support staff, and parents to build an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Student Advocacy - Ensure compliance with educational laws while advocating for the rights and needs of students with disabilities.
- Engaging Learning Environment - Foster a positive, inclusive classroom where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in special education, education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for Special Education, demonstrated by patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students with special needs succeed.
