\nThe Lead Pastry Cook executes daily tasks related to daily food requisitions, various outlet production, finishing and organization of daily needs, maintaining freezer product pars, and assisting with leadership and mentorship of the team.

\nJob Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
\nProduce dessert and bakery products while following recipes and/or chef’s directions consistently and efficiently with little supervision.*
\nComplete daily prep and production of high volume bakery products consistently and without sacrificing food quality.*
\nMaintain a high standard of food quality with demonstrated efficiency in the utilization of products to control food products.*
\nAssist in maintaining effective inventory levels. Complete food requisition, control prep inventories, outlet requisitions, and par levels.*
\nWrite personal prep lists with regard to food and labor costs. Manage the stations and the needs of the bakery in the absence of the Pastry sous Chef with a positive, supportive attitude.*
\nMaintain a clean and sanitary work environment and station on a daily basis and maintain standards of good personal hygiene and proper uniform guidelines.*
\nPerform other duties as assigned.
\nQualifications:
\nMinimum of 1 year of related high-production scratch bakery experience.
\n18 years of age or older.
\nAssociate’s degree - Baking & Pastry Arts
\nPost-Employment - Must be able to obtain ServSafe Allergen and ServSafe Manager certifications.
\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
\nExhibit excellent knowledge, understanding, and application of all fundamental techniques of pastry, confectionery, and baked goods.
\nSkills and knowledge in the realm of kitchen production, various dessert styles, baked goods, confectionary and finishing techniques.
\nProficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
\nAbility to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
\nDemonstrate leadership skills with work group or station partners, displaying the ability to communicate effectively as a team player with supervisors, employees, and customers.
\nProject a positive, self-motivated, and professional attitude at all times.
