Job Details Lecturer of Italian The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer of Italian to begin January 2025. The successful candidate will be able to teach all levels of Italian language as well as occasional English-language courses in our Intercultural Studies program. The teaching load for this position is 30 credits per year (approximately equivalent to a 5-5 load). Application materials should convey the candidate's ability to contribute to a multi-language department that values a variety of perspectives as well as their ability to connect with students from a broad range of backgrounds. Candidates required qualifications should be a master's degree in Italian language, literature, or culture or a closely related discipline.
Desired candidates should have near-native fluency in Italian and evidence of effective teaching in undergraduate courses. Evidence of success and innovation using technology in the classroom is preferred.
