Nature & Scope :

Positional Overview

Mary Kraft is looking for a Liability Claim Adjuster who will manage a caseload of claims related to auto property damage, bodily injury, general liability, and school board legal liability. The adjuster will conduct thorough investigations, evaluate claims, negotiate settlements, and work closely with legal counsel as needed.

• Investigate claims by gathering relevant information and documentation.
• Assess damages and determine the legitimacy of claims.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on complex cases.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives.
• Maintain accurate records of claims and documentation.
• Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting liability claims.
• Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., business, insurance, law) preferred.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in claims adjusting, preferably in auto property damage, bodily injury, and general liability.
• Strong understanding of liability insurance principles and school board legal liability issues.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Professional certification (e.g., Claims Adjuster License, AIC) is a plus.
