Description Summary: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills in the care of psychiatric patients in accordance with facility and departmental polices and in accordance with standards of nursing practice. Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of scope and role of the Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician and Unit Clerk. An encumbered license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the state of Louisiana. Current BLS De-Escalation Certification completed within 90 days of employment and recertified annually.
