Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for running weekly schedules for building, LTL, and door shipments. This role involves entering data into shipment schedules, printing sales orders, and distributing picking tickets to the production floor using ERP systems. The coordinator will also handle LTL information, quote rates, create bills of lading for outbound shipments, and supply labels. They will solicit carrier rates, schedule daily shipments, notify customers, track shipments, compile reports, and prepare import/export paperwork.
Responsibilities
Run weekly building, LTL, and door schedules.
Enter data into weekly shipment schedules.
Print sales orders and distribute picking tickets using ERP systems.
Enter LTL information and quote LTL rates.
Create bills of lading for all outbound shipments.
Supply labels for all LTL shipments.
Solicit and maintain carrier rates for weekly shipment schedules.
Schedule carriers for daily shipment pickups.
Notify customers of shipments.
Field phone calls regarding shipment tracking and materials.
Compile information and create reports as needed.
Prepare paperwork for importing/exporting.
Scan documents using DocuWare.
Relay paperwork and order changes to the shipping floor.
Post and ship orders in ERP system.
Greet truck drivers upon arrival.
Assist with projects as needed.
Work with carriers to resolve freight claims and delays.
Coordinate with customer service to research shipping issues.
Participate in process improvements and LEAN initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Strong communication skills.
Ability to multitask and handle varying workloads.
Experience with LTL shipping.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
International shipping experience.
ERP/TMS experience.
Customer service skills.
Inventory management.
Experience with third-party logistics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite, Monday through Friday, with shift options of either 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the flexibility to adapt to changes and interruptions. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
