Job Summary


This is a CONTINUOUS OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT
Mail Carriers deliver services to customers delivering parcels and letters from the sender to the recipient safely and in a timely manner.

Essential Job Duties

• Pick up mail from the United States Post Office and Tuskegee Institute Post Office
• Sort mail, including packages
• Deliver incoming mail to appropriate locations on Tuskegee University's Campus
• Collect outgoing mail along route
• Maintain arrival and delivery logs
• Operate postal equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Physical stamina and strength
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Skills and Attributes


Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills

Ability to:

• Follow instructions
• Operate standard office equipment
• Walk short distances
• Lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
• Lift at least 10+ pounds
