What you’ll need to succeed as a Manager of Weight and Inspections at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

• 4 years of weights and inspection experience
• Available to travel up to 50% of the time and to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, varying shifts and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4–7 years of experience in freight audit, logistics, or transportation
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with dimensioning tools and forklift scale maintenance
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• NMFC training preferred

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Lead and develop regional W&I teams to deliver audit accuracy and operational excellence
• Drive freight classification strategy aligned with revenue goals and NMFC standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Compliance to reduce exceptions and improve classification accuracy
• Own onboarding, training, and performance reporting for W&I staff
• Ensure tool functionality and certification for dimensioning devices and forklift scales
• Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
