Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This role is based in Davenport, IA.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $68000 - $99000 a year.

What you'll do: The Davenport facility has approximately 900 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace life support and safety systems compoennts and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading cost-out events and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
In this function you will: \n - Lead cost-out events and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
\n - Apply Lean-Manufacturing and 6-Sigma Techniques to eliminate waste, reduce process variation and to deliver products that meet customer expectations.
\n - Participate in concurrent engineering efforts and critical design reviews to minimize product development costs and maximize useful life of products.
\n - Conduct Design for Manufacturing and value engineering initiatives as applicable.
\n - Develop work breakdown structures as a tool to develop cost estimates and to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
\n - Participate in new product development projects using program management tools to articulate deliverables and maintain schedules.
\n - Develop and integrates new processes and methodologies as to provide competitive advantages for the business.
\n - Compose Capital Appropriation Results (including payback and net present value analysis) for acquisition of equipment to support emerging and existing technologies.

Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: \n - Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
\n - Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment
\n - No relocation will be offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 70 mile radius of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications: \n - Minimum 3 years of internship or co-op experience in engineering or manufacturing
\n - Experience with Lean/6-Sigma/ Continuous Improvement
\n - Six Sigma Green Belt certified
\n - AS9100/ TS16949 experience
\n - Tool Design and development experience
\n - Problem solving and data analytics experience
