We are currently seeking skilled Marine Sheet Metal Mechanics (Inside Shop) for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note : This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

Overview :

Fabricate and install sheet metal components for Navy ship repair and modernization.

Responsibilities :

\n
• Cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal parts.
\n
• Install ventilation, ducting, and structural components.
\n
• Use shop equipment for forming and cutting.
\n
• Follow technical drawings and Navy standards.
\n

Qualifications :

\n
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
\n
• 4+ years sheet metal experience, with at least 2+ years on Navy Ships.
\n
• Completion of a formal trade training program (trade school, military training, apprenticeship, or equivalent) required.
\n
• Knowledge of marine ventilation and sheet metal systems.
\n
• High school diploma/GED; trade training preferred.
\n
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
\n
