Expected Pay Range: $28.25 - $31/hour Summary and Scope The Master Electrician is responsible for setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure, including installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical wiring in mobile and fixed facilities.Secondary duties include traveling to DR job sites to lead a team that will safely and correctly install generators.
Essential Functions - Install, service and repair electrical panels, wiring, lighting, and fixtures as well as electrical equipment and machinery.
- Install safety and distribution components (switches, receptacles, circuit-breaker panels, etc.).
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions.
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for containerized and other mobile facilities.
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
- Work with engineering team to plan, create, modify and improve wiring diagrams/schematics.
- Lead team on the installation of generators, to include safe and efficient wiring.
- All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Specifications - Knowledge of the operations on generator systems and components.
- Knowledge of electricity as it applies to the interface between generators and transfer switches, and their connection to building and the electrical power supply.

- Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems.

Required Education and Experience - High School diploma (or GED equivalent) is required
- Minimum of 10+ years of proven experience as an electrician, to include:
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
- Experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining generators.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools, including a variety of tools commonly used in construction.
- Master Electrician license is required.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is desired.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, climb, engage in repetitive motions, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls. May routinely and repetitively lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted (or heavier with the use of proper equipment and procedures).
Expected Hours of Work Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM EST. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.
Work Environment This job operates in workshop, facility, and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions.This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
Travel This position requires up to 30% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours' notice.
Work Authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check (if applicable), and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have (and maintain) a clean driving record.
