Position Title: Material Handler

Wage: $18.00/Hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

QPS Employment Group is hiring for a Material Handler position at a reputable company in Iowa City, IA. This role is essential to keeping warehouse and production operations running smoothly. If you have forklift experience and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Material Handler Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, and store materials – including recyclable and waste materials (hazardous and non-hazardous)
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed)
- Label, sort and stage materials in designated locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and follow all site-specific safety procedures
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements for Material Handler:
- Previous forklift experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Forklift certification or willingness to be trained and certified
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in an environment that may be messy or involve liquid consumer products
- Reliable, safety-conscious and detail-oriented team player
