Job Description

New Business Intake & Conflicts Specialist is responsible for reviewing all new business that is generated firm-wide in support of the firm's risk management needs through the firm's intake system. The position is responsible for performing thorough and accurate conflict searches on all new business. Along with conflicts checks, Specialist is responsible for understanding and performing other Conflicts and Intake functions.

Primary Duties:

• Skilled use of logic to generate name searches for conflict checks through Intapp
• Ability to identify and articulate potential conflicts of interest
• Comprehension of Corporate Family Tree Structures in conflict searches
• Perform online investigations of potential new clients using Capital IQ, WestLaw and state resource databases.
• Understanding and complying with Outside Counsel Guidelines where applicable
• Review waivers received
• Maintain system warnings
• Setup and monitor ethical screens in Intapp Walls
• Monitor and maintain the Conflicts Inbox and Helpline
• Following up for inaccurate or incomplete information
• Ability to identify and escalate issues through certain levels communication
• Assisting Intake Department in certain aspects of Client and Matter Maintenance
• Understanding Rates and Rate Structures
• Full knowledge of Firm Policies and Procedures to ensure new clients and matters are appropriately compliant
• Ability to organize for large projects (Lateral Hire requests, Audit requests, Marketing requests)
• Comprehend all aspects of the NBI program to assist with Partner and LA questions
• Assist with data cleanup projects

Requirement/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in legal industry
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• The ability to analyze large data sets
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including excel
• Intapp, iManage and Aderant experience preferred
